Hello, I am David Williams, the pastor of Bay Area Baptist Church. Let us tell you a little about us and our life in this area since we met and married here in this area many years ago. My wife, Norma Jean (maiden name Duty) was born and raised in this area and we were also married here 34 years ago.

We have made a full circle since then when I cut my teeth preaching on old Pier 60 to drug users and hippies in the early 70s while we were still dating before we were married. We have always had a love and concern for the needs of the people of Clearwater and the surrounding areas since those early days.

I have been involved in church work most of my life having graduated with a degree in Pastoral Theology from Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point, Indiana, one of Americas premier pastoral training schools located at the great First Baptist Church in Hammond. I play the violin and guitar and have written over 20 gospel songs. My wife Jeanie plays the piano. We are excited about this great opportunity and feel that we have much to offer.

Many churches in the Tampa Bay Area used to be old fashioned centers for soul-winning and revival but they have gone the way of the crowd and allowed CCM music and lack of holiness crowd out the righteous and bring the ways of the World right into the church and it can be clearly seen right on the stage of every service. We aim to change all of that. Come and join us to bring the power of God down and bring revival to this area for Christ.
